With its unique size, Optimum Surfaces slabs have made a distinctive, memorable debut on the international market, heralding an encouraging start for these unmistakeable extra-large ceramic slabs measuring 1840×3300 mm.

This is what we brought back from our time at Area30, a key event for thousands of trade members, manufacturers, and retailers that gathered in Löhne, Germany, in the heart of the European kitchen design district.

The exhibition offered one of the most prestigious stages in Europe, where we enthusiastically and energetically showcased our porcelain stoneware slabs in the largest size ever on the market. Featuring highly innovative technology, these slabs are designed to guarantee spectacular looks while also prioritising sustainability in relation to their environmental impact .

The decision to invest significantly in this key event, at which we were exhibiting during the same days as Cersaie 2024 (a traditional focal point for the ceramic industry) demonstrates how important it is for us to publicise, from the first year of business, our innovative vision. A vision embodied by Optimum in all its aspects, from the choice to produce just one exclusive size to the pioneering way it is marketed, as a versatile product that can cater to all the specific needs of the kitchen design industry.

It is no coincidence, then, that the extensive exhibition space in which we welcomed visitors to Area30 was designed to convey the Optimum identity to our visitors, which was achieved with great success.

These effective stoneware solutions, originating from all-Italian expertise, are showcased in the form of reproducible fabrications that integrate seamlessly into the most innovative firing systems and which highlight all the advantages that the exclusive 1840×3300 mm size of our slabs brings to optimise the material.

On this occasion, we showcased all the new products launched in 2024, which are available in innovative finishes that cater with versatility to every space design need.

Among these options, the new Soft Touch finish is one particularly exceptional line that is specifically designed for kitchen surfaces and worktops and is available for the Calacatta Matarazzo line: a surfacing material that recreates the stylish vibrant yet balanced grey veining featured in the fine marble it is named after.

Not only that, Area30 also provided the perfect opportunity to show visitors the new 20 mm-thick option we have introduced for our entire product range. This latest offering confirms how highly innovative Optimum is, setting us apart on the market as the only player to make extra-thick slabs available in large formats (1840×3300 mm) for our complete range.

The extra-thick option guarantees an even higher levels of strength and durability, making them ideal for applications in heavy-duty environments like kitchens.

The energy and determination put in by our team have made our involvement in the fair a real success. We have demonstrated how innovative vision, commitment, and effort in the research field can lead to genuinely unique solutions that are immediately recognised as such on the international market.
