SICAM 2026, the International Exhibition of Components, Semi-finished Products and Accessories for the Furniture Industry, opened today in Pordenone, where it will run until 23 October. Optimum is exhibiting once again this year, presenting a range that brings together aesthetic research, technology and new design possibilities.

At stand D2 – Hall 5, designed by Marco Porpora Architetti, the crystals of The Crystals capsule collection take centre stage, alongside the new surfaces previewed at Cersaie.

New interpretations of natural stone, each with its own distinctive identity: from the sophisticated crystalline structure of Perla Santana to the soft luminosity of Fossil Rose, from the pronounced fossil imprints of Breccia Riviera to the warm, enveloping tones of Adria Stone. Together, these surfaces expand Optimum’s range with new colour contrasts and material details, designed to bring depth and character to every project.

The Optimum stand: where design meets functionality

At the heart of our stand, an extraordinary 660 × 135 cm kitchen installation showcases the potential of Optimum products. The island and table come together in a spacious composition, where the continuity of the textures helps define the identity of the entire project. This is made possible by the exclusive format of our surfaces, which allows both elements to be produced using just two slabs, optimising material usage.

To meet the different requirements of the two elements, the project combines slabs of different thicknesses, making the most of the specific characteristics of each piece of furniture. In the kitchen worktop, the Invisacook Systems invisible cooking system is discreetly integrated, preserving a clean, uninterrupted appearance. Meanwhile, Fossil Rose, enhanced by Rilievo™ technology, covers the kitchen and table, bringing the veining to life through a three-dimensional texture that enhances the visual and tactile depth of the entire installation.

A solution designed for both indoor and outdoor spaces, where every choice contributes to a balance between aesthetics and functionality.

A format that opens up new possibilities for the furniture industry

SICAM once again provides an opportunity to explore the technical advantages of Optimum slabs, starting with the exclusive 184 × 330 cm format, the largest on the market supplied already squared and rectified.

Its proportions are designed to accommodate elements of different sizes and configurations, from kitchen worktops and tables to wall cladding and furniture components, offering greater freedom in design and spatial planning. The ability to optimise cutting layouts also makes it possible to get the most out of every slab, reducing processing waste and making the most of the material in every application.

This focus on efficiency is also reflected in the manufacturing process, which incorporates squaring and rectification, delivering slabs that are ready for subsequent processing without the need for additional preliminary operations or stress-relief treatment. This approach simplifies processing and gives industry professionals a more straightforward and versatile starting point for developing bespoke furniture solutions, combining technical precision with design freedom.

Visit us in Pordenone until 23 October to discover all these possibilities first-hand.
